Nazra - 00:07
Hello everyone, what is up? My name is Nazra. I'm Gap Year alumni and today I am walking you with me through a day in my life.
I am currently in Montreal. I'm usually Toronto based but I came to the city this week for a conference called C2 and today is actually my last day in the city. It's a Monday and I have a few plans but I also am not fully sure what's happening entirely throughout this day. So you're going to be able to see that along with me!
Right now it's around 11:00 PM and I am actually walking to a cafe.
Nazra - 00:42
It's going to take me around 20-25 minutes to walk there. It's really cold right now, as you can probably tell by the gloom. But yeah, I'm going to go to the cafe. I'll see you guys in a second. I'm going to get some work done.
Nazra - 01:02
Yeah, I'm on my way. Going to listen to a podcast as soon as I walk there and I'll see you when I get there. Catch you in a sec.
Well y'all it is around 2:00 PM right now. I just finished working out of that coffee shop right there. Yeah, I just did work for 2 1/2 hours but I got so much done and that's something that I actually kind of wanted to talk about, sometimes it's so hard to get motivated to do work and I just find that switching up my working environment is so helpful, now that COVID restrictions are a little bit loosened in Canada. I definitely try to go to a cafe like once or twice or three times a week or try to work out of a library, or just a different space and I find like it's so much more helpful with productivity
Nazra - 02:03
The other thing that I've realized over the past year is that, like being busy does not mean being productive at all. Like if I can just get heads down during the day for 2-3 hours. There is so much that I can do and so I don't even aim to have like 5,6,7 hour work days.
Nazra - 02:26
I do sometimes, but that's not needed every day, and even if I can just squeeze in a good 2-3 hours of solid work, I don't know. It's just about that consistently and trying to do something productive every day and not getting caught up in being busy, which is super helpful.
Yeah, I did that and I actually have a movie. I'm really watching Dune today, so we're going to the movies in about an hour.
I'm only just a one minute walk away from where I'm staying, so I'm going to quickly do some super quick grocery shopping. I'm going to see if I can make myself some pasta before the movies. You know, save up a little bit on money and then head to the movie. I'll see you in a second. Maybe you can come grocery shopping with me. I'll see you at Metro, bye.
Nazra - 04:09
Hey you guys what is up? I am back home right now. It's around 7:00 PM and I just refinished rewatching Dune and it was so good. I highly recommend seeing that movie. It is exceptional.
I also just ate dinner on my way back. I got myself some Shawarma, which is yummy and I actually don't know what's happening for the rest of the evening so I'm gonna go figure that out and I'll let you know, aright, catch you in a sec!
Nazra - 04:40
Hey guys I'm with my best friend Cassia. She goes to McGill, and we're eating. Well, I'm eating a mochi and she has a cupcake.
Nazra - 04:58
Hey everyone, thank you for joining me on my Monday. I just came back home from getting some dessert with my best friend and we had around a 30 ish minute walk back to her place. So I'm back here now. It's 10:00 PM and I'm going to go to sleep soon.
I hope you have an awesome day and stay consistent. Bye, catch you on the flip.
